Following her month long 2nd Formigueiro Residency in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Scotland’s environmental sound artist SHHE presents her latest work Afluente as part of a group exhibition titled Desagua at Kino Beat Festival.
In Afluente, SHHE presents a sound work that draws from recordings of the Guaíba River, the Dilúvio stream, and other urban water currents. Asking the locals “What does the Guaíba sound like to you?” SHHE has incorporated their answers into a spatialised sound installation which transforms the space.
