Uaxuctum by Konx-om-Pax is an audiovisual transmission from an alien form of life. A soundtrack drawing from a vast array of musical influences, from analogue pioneer Pauline Oliveros to modern classical titan Krzysztof Penderecki. In turns clamorous, eerie and contemplative accompanied – or maybe generating – organic patterns of colour whose shapes, inspired by the ordered randomness of genetic processes, teem restlessly across vast screens. At this synaesthetic point of singularity, what we see and hear blurs into one: sound flares and gleams, light shrieks and whispers. A unique and thrilling one-off.

“A tentacular dreamscape where oil slick rainbow colours mutate across an IMAX cinema screen, in synthetic flow with his tense Penderecki-inspired soundtrack” The Wire
